Day Trip to Chatsworth Christmas Market & House
This is a call to members to sign up for a day trip by coach to Chatsworth in the first part of November when the house will be decorated for Christmas and the massive Christmas Market adjacent to the house and in the courtyard will be in full swing.
The outline plan is to leave around 0830, travel with one comfort stop to arrive shortly after 1100, enjoy the market and lunch until 2.00pm when the group would be able to tour the house. Leave about 3.30, travel back with a comfort stop, arrive York by 6.00pm.
I have booked this provisionally for Tuesday 10 November. It will cost £70 per person. No other costs (the house is £40 if you go independently), no trek from the temporary car parks out in the park and a comfortable ride back to York.
I haven’t arranged lunch as there is a choice of restaurant, café and many stalls and/or casual eating within the market.
We need a minimum of 25 travellers. Your friends may come with you for the same price. I need to confirm my booking or abandon it by 30 September so please don’t delay!
