WELCOME to The Arts Society York

The Arts Society York was founded in 1972 as part of the then National Decorative and Fine Arts Society (NADFAS).  It now has a membership of over 300 and conducts a wide range of activities, including:

  • A comprehensive lecture programme
  • Study days
  • Tours and visits in UK and Europe
  • Heritage preservation
  • Recording historic churches of special interest
  • Youth education

Our lecture programme offers nine lectures per year, on the fourth Tuesday of the month, at 1.15pm. Lectures are held in the Gimcrack Suite at York Racecourse. (Map)
